Anti Aging Products… Are All Marketers Really Liars?
In the cosmetic industry, the term “clinically proven” is often more marketing hype than science. Typically, the phrase means that at least ONE component of the cosmetic product has been shown, in one study or another, to have had some biological action, such as helping wounds heal faster by stimulating cell division. That the product has been demonstrated by a well-controlled, independent clinical study to have significant effects in skin, however, is not always the case.
As the baby boomer generation’s youth fades into the sunset, the revenue generated by anti-aging treatments is skyrocketing. According to the marketing information company NPD Group, sales of prestige skincare products in U.S. department stores alone reached $2.1 billion in 2004, up 17% from 2000.
So what makes these products so expensive? For one thing, many of them are made from expensive ingredients such as grape seed extract, alpha lipoic acid, chamomile oils and green tea-protectants that are said to reduce skin damage from free radicals. Among the most important ingredients are customized cell messenger proteins such as peptides and epidermal growth factor that stimulate cell growth. But alas, what you generally end up paying for with most products is:
1.Packaging
2.Marketing
3.Retail Distribution into “Prestige” stores
4.”Prestige” overhead costs (Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Salons, etc)
5.Very healthy margins!!!
Serums or moisturizers are typically the most expensive products within a skincare line, given their high concentration of costly ingredients. To maximize the age-defying effect that many of the products on our list are purported to deliver, experts recommend that you use a good facial cleanser, exfoliating scrub and mask prior to applying. “You have to start with a healthy, clean face or you’re just wasting your money”, says Helena Pae Co-Founder of Active Skin Formulas.
“In the ongoing battle against sagging, wrinkling and aging, the right creams and serums are good but alone they aren’t enough. Along with avoiding exposure to the sun (and sun screen), controlling diet and stress are crucial in decelerating the aging process”, says Tony Golden, Fitness and Nutrition Consultant. Golden also suggests that you avoid paying for expensive marketing & packaging (Prestige Products) and look for products produced in FDA audited labs, “That way you know the active ingredients claimed are indeed the ingredients in the bottle”.
The $25,000 question is “Do these products work?” Many of the products on the market have been shown in clinical studies to do everything from minimizing lines and improving skin tone to increasing skin thickness. “There are some great products out there”, says Bratis Peralta, Master Esthetician, “but what you usually end up paying for is EXPENSIVE packaging, marketing and advertising”!! To save money and achieve the same results Peralta suggests buying based on active ingredients, buying from companies that utilize FDA audited labs and buying direct online.

How Do These Name Brand Skin Anti-Aging Products Work
There is absolutely no limit to the amount of money a person can spend on name brand skin anti-aging products, from those that are meant to reduce puffiness around the eyes to those that promise to reduce wrinkles and fine lines around the eyes and mouth. Every corner of your face has a certain product or serum available to it. There are even specialized products that are meant for the hands and feet! Heaven forbid anyone should have a wrinkle on their hand or dry spot on their feet – there are name brand skin anti-aging products for just such areas as well. If you have age spots or calluses or dry skin on your hands or heels, you can find a cream or ointment to take care of it, if you’re willing to spend the money.
Is there really any difference between these anti-aging products and those you might find at a mass market retailer or pharmacy? Are you only paying for the name on the box, or is there something more to it?
Obviously every product is different, and just because some celebrity’s face is on the marketing campaign doesn’t necessarily make the product they’re touting any better. However, sometimes you do get what you pay for, and this can be true when it comes to name brand skin anti-aging products.
It’s the Ingredients
When looking at the labels of both generic and name brand named anti-aging products, you need to be concerned with the active ingredients. Most other elements listed are simply preservatives, the cream base, and so on.
Retinol is one of the best ingredients for skin care; it is a derivative of Vitamin A, which many dermatologists know is healthy for the skin. Aloe Vera and grape seed oil are two great natural moisturizers for the skin and are absorbed better than most. Vitamin E is also a healthy natural moisturizer for the skin.
Which Are the Best?
Everyone is going to react differently to different creams and serums, and this is true even with the most expensive name brand skin anti-aging products. However, some of the best include N.V. Perricone, whose anti-aging creams contain peptides and proteins designed to replenish the skin. Boscia is a brand that is known for using all natural ingredients, specifically those found in tropical environments and so may be the best at protecting the skin from harsh outdoor elements.
Stri-Vectin is a line of anti-aging products that were originally produced to combat stretch marks, but that also work well to eliminate wrinkles from the face.
Whatever product you decide to try, give it at least a month’s worth of regular use before you decide whether or not to continue. Some need this long to really be absorbed into the skin and to do what they’ve been designed to do.

Should You Use Anti-aging Creams?
Ever since the time of ancient Egypt, men and women have been attempting to turn back the hands of time with anti-aging creams. The earliest skin treatment products from those ancient times most likely contained fine oils such as lanolin, as well as various herbal extracts. While they may have in fact had some effect on the skins surface, by smoothing out wrinkles. It wasn’t until recent times that anti-aging creams were made available that actually function below the skins surface.
New Anti-Aging Creams Function Below the Skins Surface
Todays newer generation of scientifically formulated anti-aging creams and serums are the direct result of extensive research aimed at discovering how the skin actually functions. Once a broader understanding of the skins actual aging process was acquired, newer more effective substances were then able to be developed. Many of these newer anti-aging creams are now able to function below the skins surface and in effect, slow down the effects of aging on the skin.
Scientifically Formulated
The skin, it was discovered, actually loses its ability to repair and renew its self as it ages. This is due to the fact that its abilities to produce many of the substances that are required for these functions begin to diminish with age. Many of todays newer scientifically formulated anti-aging creams now contain many of the vital substances that are needed by the skin to perform its natural restorative functions.

Name Brand Anti Aging Products
Many of the name brand anti-aging products on the marketplace sell products that claim to do a lot in the line of reducing signs of aging. However, people that have purchased the products often tell you about different affects, including information about the product not working as it claims.
FROWNIES is one of the products accessible on the marketplace. The slick makes one of the common announcements to not be fooled by misleading products. A red flag should immediately forms in your head; in view of the fact that how can the company know if their product is more productive than other products? The manufactured goods allegedly trims down facial lining, since the product labors the facial muscles underlying foundation recapturing the tone of the flesh and strength that perishes as we age. The pads that come with the solution go over the eyes, around the corners, and supposedly reduce wrinkles.
Another of the products available is Palmer’s Skin Facelift Serum. The serum claims to lift the facial skin, while tightening the flesh. The product works according to the sellers to relieve signs of tiredness, while lifting droops about the facial area. The serum claims to tone the skin with its active ingredients, including MYOXINOL, Vitamin C, RETINYL, PALMITATE, and Vitamin E. Like many other products, the sellers claim the product is clinically proven effective.
BORGHESE CURA C Anhydrous Vitamin C Treatments claim to reduce wrinkles and restore the face glow. The product gave a satisfactory rating from one source with claims that the product made the face area feels softer and healthier, while rejuvenating the skin. This product costs around $60 and worked for one person not to remove lines around the mouth and forehead area, rather to restore moisture in the skin.
Anew Clinical Deep Crease Concentrate is one of the up-to-the-minute aging solutions and is manufactured by Avon. Nevertheless, following reports the product is claimed to be non-effective. I’ve tested Anew Clinical, which is a two-step facial peel procedure. The manufactured goods came with peeling visage E-tapes and have 10% Glycolic Phase, Phase 10% GLYCOLIQUE, AND 30 pads/30 tampons.
The label advocates usage of the product ‘every other day’ for the best results. Step 1 is the process of smoothing the texture of the skin waiting five minutes and the course of action moves to step two. Whilst I exploited the manufactured goods until empty, it did zilch removing my crowfeet and lines. The manufactured goods price tag is around $35, and for me to buy again, will never happen. Additional manufactured goods I’ve employed included NICEL. The manufactured goods supposedly minimizes lines, boost texture and aridness of the skin, remove outside layers of dead cells from the skin, whilst enhancing the features of the face, making the face feel healthy and vivacity. I’ve employed the cream for a few weeks, and from experience, the product is not valued for anything other than adding moisture. Recently, after learning certain ingredients such as Paraben may cause cancer, I’ve stopped the usage of the product. I’d rather have a few lines than die of cancer.
Vitamin E Fruit of the Earth I employed as well. The manufactured goods allegedly adds moisture to the skin, whilst soothing the face, and shielding the skin, providing a younger, softer appearance. The manufactured goods is not a side-effect product tested on animals, nevertheless, the only result is seeing my face shine. I’m not finished with the product, therefore let’s stop this review now, and see later what results. The advantage is this product does not have harmful chemicals.
According to few informers Rosa MOSQUETA, is an EFA or fatty acid that continues helping the skin remain vigorous and youthful. The constituents stem from “wild rose” bushes, and according to the informers the Southern America individuals employed the Rosa MOSQUETA Oils to avert aridity of skin, lessen ill-timed aging signs, fade splotches, together with pigmentation spotting, acne scarring, stretch marks, and spots developed from the rays. The constituent allegedly works wonders to treat burns and scar tissue, while improving quality of skin, texture and coloration. Information is available on the Internet regarding other types of anti-aging manufactured goods.

Best Five Ingredients in Anti-aging Products
Recent innovations in anti-aging skincare have revolutionized how men and women can revitalize their skin. Here we take a brief look at five companies that offer ingredients in their products which are changing the face of anti-aging skincare.
Idebenone- True Products
True Products is a line of anti-aging skincare products which includes a super antioxidant known as Idebenone. It is also a skin smoother and brightener that helps to fight free radicals that threaten to destroy the skin. Idebenone closely resembles another super antioxidant known as Co-Enzyme Q10, as well as the depigmenting agent hydroquinone. However it has been proven to be more effective than both of these substances. Idebenone is a new product in the fight against the aging process.
Idebenone has no known side effects and it gives way to skin that is smoother and more even looking. It does not have the irritating element of many retinoids and hydroxyl acids. This anti-aging skincare ingredient protects and restores the skin making it look younger and more radiant. It helps fine lines to disappear and evens out the pigment in the skin. It also reduces inflammation of the skin.
Vitamin C- Cellex-C
Cellex-C is a pioneer company when it comes to using vitamin C to slow the aging process. The company sells a variety of high quality vitamin C products but it is its High Potency Serum that is getting rave reviews. This lightweight and oil-free serum contains all of the top ingredients used in Cellex-C technology. It works to return the elastic, firm and youthful look to the skin. Using this product on a consistent basis can help an individual turn back the clock anywhere from five to 10 years.
Vitamin C in the Cellex-C product line is meant to be utilized on a daily basis and can be applied to all skin types, with exception to those who have extremely sensitive skin. In particular, the Cellex-C serum is excellent for the parts of the face that are most prone to fine lines and wrinkles, sagginess and age spots. The vitamin C acts quickly to plump up collagen in the skin thereby making it an excellent anti-aging skincare ingredient.
PSP-Neocutis
Neocutis has created a revolutionary new anti-aging skincare product known as Processed Skin Cell Proteins (or PSP). Developed in Switzerland, PSP is a natural ingredient for the skin that is derived from cultured skin cells. PSP has the unique ability to mimic exactly what the body does naturally in terms of renewing and restoring itself. PSP by Neocutis increases the mitochondrial work of the cells and essentially tricks the older cells into believing they are younger than they are. This means that aging and sun damaged skin cells become energized, revitalized and nourished! Applying PSP on a daily basis will improve the texture and the tone of your skin; decrease the amount of fine lines and wrinkles; help to get rid of the signs of sun damage, and make your skin look younger and more radiant.
Kinetin- Kinerase
Kinetin (N6-furfuryladenine) is a “plant-growth hormone” that is showing promise when it comes to anti-aging of the skin. It has also been shown to be of benefit to those who suffer from acne rosacea on their faces and necks.
Kinetin and Kinerase are both brand names that sell furfuryladenine in anti-aging skincare products. The ingredient is beneficial in terms of skin rejuvenation and the reduction of fine lines, wrinkles and other signs of aging. It does so without bringing about skin irritation. Kinetin and Kinerase are considered to be the “non irritating alternative to Retin A”.
Vitamin A- Avene
The Avene skincare brand for sensitive and aging skin got its start in 1993. Based around Avene Thermal spring water, the company has its roots in a combination of hydrotherapy and dermatology. Avene is a company concerned with the ability to soothe and heal skin. They have added vitamin A to their anti-aging skincare line in order to reduce the look of fine lines around the eyes, nose and cheeks and to prevent the first signs that aging is setting in. The vitamin A Avene anti-aging products help to promote more youthful looking skin with no worries about skin irritation.

Honeymark Launches New Anti-wrinkle Serum With Manuka Honey
Honey has been used for cosmetic purposes going back as far as Cleopatra, who used to mix it with milk and apply it to her face. Recent studies suggest that Manuka Honey, a premium honey produced in the New Zealand region, has an even greater effect on the skin than other types of honey. It has been discovered that high doses of healing nutrients found in this honey such as B-vitamins, amino acids, antioxidants, minerals and enzymes play a key role in reversing cell damage and aging.
Manuka honey contains antioxidants that heal, repair and nourish the skin, making it look and feel younger, smoother and healthier. The rejuvenating properties found in Manuka Honey help in the regeneration of collagen and elastin. It helps reduce lines and wrinkles and helps the skin retain more moisture so that it doesn’t appear to be dry or flaky.
It has also been found that Manuka Honey helps the skin’s cell renewal process. This means younger looking skin cells are more readily available. It creates stronger collagen protein which helps keep skin youthful and supple. In addition, Manuka Honey contains natural antiseptic qualities that heal scratches or sores that may be present on the surface of the skin. The antioxidants present in Manuka Honey protect against free radicals in the environment.
As Manuka Honey penetrates deeply into the skin, it nourishes and rejuvenates, making the skin feel and look softer and younger. Free radicals damage collagen fibers responsible for keeping skin firm and tight. Manuka Honey strengthens collagen, destroys the radicals and improves the skins elasticity giving the appearance of younger-looking skin. Manuka Honey is so effective as a natural healing agent, it has even been proven to be effective in treating conditions such as acne, eczema, bacterial and fungal infections.
In addition to Manuka Honey, Honeymark’s Anti-Wrinkle Serum contains other valuable anti-aging ingredients, such as Matrixyl, Retinol and Collagen.
Matrixyl contains polypeptides called matrikines, that restructure and repair the skin. They stimulate collagen production by jump-starting the skin repair process, causing significant improvements in elasticity and skin tone. Matrixyl is an amazing breakthrough in skin care, providing a significant anti-wrinkle and skin lifting effect. It actually penetrates the skin to repair and stimulate collagen production, leading to smoother, more radiant skin. After only two months of using Honeymark’s Anti-Wrinkle Serum, customers will experience a 45% decrease in wrinkle depth, 250% increase in collagen production and 15% improvement in skin tone.
Retinol is a Vitamin A derivative that repairs and stimulates collagen and elastin, creating firmer, smoother skin. Its small molecular structure allows it to penetrate the outer layers of the skin and repairs the lower layers of the skin where collagen and elastin exist. Retinol also increases skin cell turnover and exfoliation, drastically reducing age spots and blotches on the skin.
Collagen is a major structural protein that makes up 75% of the skin. It stimulates the formation of new collagen fibrils, leading to skin regeneration. At the same time elasticity is improved, helping to smooth wrinkles on the face and neck.
“We have combined the best anti-aging ingredients for a truly unique age reversing system,” says Frank Buonanotte, CEO of Honeymark International. “Our Anti-Wrinkle Serum significantly outperforms other higher priced products containing ingredients that are damaging to the skin.”

Hide Wrinkles, Look Younger Using an Anti-wrinkle Serum
Everyone who is over the age of thirty is most likely thinking about ways that they can slow down the aging process for their skin. Luckily, there are plenty of products out on the market that can help achieve this goal. For example, an anti-wrinkle serum can do wonders for people who are experiencing fine lines on their face or neck, and who catch these fine lines early enough. Many of these serums are available at your local drugstores and department stores for your convenience as well. If you are looking for the more intense anti-wrinkle serum on the market, you may be able to order what you are looking for on the internet. The benefit to this is that you can probably research the product first and read the other consumer reviews from people who may or may not have had good luck with the product. This can be a great way to save yourself from wasting money on products that don’t live up to what they claim too.
If you choose to go the local store route for purchasing your anti-wrinkle serum, then you are not out of luck for doing any research. Many of these stores carry products that you can still research on the convenience of the world wide web just like any of the others. This is great for anyone who isn’t looking to spend that much on something that they are trying for the first time, but still wants an anti-wrinkle serum that received great reviews.
Now, to purchase the right kind of anti-wrinkle serum, you will have to have some basic knowledge on how these serums work. These are going to be slightly different then your average wrinkle creams on the market because the serum can actually penetrate deeper into your skin. This is helpful in undoing all the damage we do to our skin on a daily basis with sun exposure and chemically based products we put on our skin. A good anti-wrinkle serum should help support and promote collagen growth as well to help tighten and firm the problem areas of the skin.
Organic products are always a good choice for people looking at purchasing an anti-wrinkle serum. You will have a good product that is full of fantastic ingredients! If you choose not to buy organic, or you cannot find one that you like, other great ingredients to look for include grape seed, pomegranate, and green tea.
Ready to hide your Wrinkles? Then we suggest you try Revitol Wrinkle cream. This product is an all natural alternative to other anti-wrinkle serums that gets results.
The Many Anti-Aging Solutions Today
OXYAGE is one of the many anti-aging products on the market. The product supposedly reduces wrinkles while refreshing the skin. The Detoxifying Carcinogens and Pollutants in the products supposedly fight aging. The products are supposed to fight ‘oxidative radicals of the face area, while increasing energy of the skin and repairing cells damaged. According to the supplement’s label, the product will also help heart circulation as well as boost the immune system.
While supplements have been around for a while now, new studies are leading to harm because of taking the pills. Therefore, be careful when considering anti-aging products, since we do not want to see harm come to you. Thus, the creams, lotions, gels, foams and machines seem to offer the better solution for minimizing wrinkles.
Some of the machines available can be quit expensive, thus considering the machines will bring forth a light in your head, since you might pay a thousand or more for the equipment. Some facial machines are cheaper than others are, and some do a better job than some of the expensive equipment. Again, reviews, help from others that went through the experience, and other related ideas is smart to avoid loss of money for insufficient anti-aging products.
Aging is the process of developing in human form. Thus, if you feel you have more than natural wrinkles, and then consider what you past included. If you were around lots of smoke, heated areas, or colder than usual areas, thus the skin will show tall tales of aging sooner. My sister worked out doors for years and the only thing she has to show for it is old age at a younger age. Heated areas, including too much sun, bathing sun beds, and other heated sources can increase the rate of wrinkles, which is not a natural deal. Thus, staying free of heat, overly cold areas, smoke, and other harmful contaminates will protect your skin and reduce the odds of you getting wrinkles early.
Thus, considering the solutions today we must still consider options for reducing wrinkles naturally. 3Lab Perfect C Serum is said to be one of the better solutions for minimizing wrinkles. The product includes Vitamin C. Few women using the serum got results in about ‘3 days.’ The serum tightens the skin and adds radiant glow to the skin. Thus, apparently the serum is used during night hours. According to reports the serum costs around $90 bucks but it is worth it. If you do not want to pay this kind of cash, you might consider buying Vitamin C capsules, use the serum inside the capsule and apply it to your face.
One gentleman using the serum claimed that his wrinkles were minimized after using the serum. He claims that the serum is utilized two times per day, but it does produce results. One of the disadvantages of the serum according to few is that it gets a bit messy, but it does work. The man had splotches, freckles and wrinkles to galore and after using the serum his face, accordingly was smoother in a few days.
ALOETTE Time Restore is another of the anti-aging products available on the market. The product according to sources which gave it a go, claimed the hype told on television, was just that, exaggerate. Thus, the product causes the face area to experience aflame sensation, since it contains harmful ingredients, including alcohol, acid, and extracts. Thus, some of the chemicals included in the product claims to shield the skin by using antioxidant chattels, including Vitamin C and E, to reduce wrinkles and fine lines, while boosting hydration. First, any product with acids and alcohol are harmful to the skin. Thus, I would never recommend the use of any product that houses these ingredients.
Furthermore, the product is pricey and irritates sensitive skin. Other reports on the product produced good results according to the sources, but again if it has alcohol and acids I would be skeptical of paying around $50 for the product. All of us have different skin issues, thus finding what is right for you is your best option.

Advanced Anti Aging and Anti Wrinkle Skin Formulas,
What are some basics regarding anti-aging product choices?
1. Price does not equal quality. The active ingredients in our products are exactly the same as the most expensive brands in the world, except that we’re usually 6 months to a year ahead and use the correct proportions. There is generally only one international patentholder and manufacturer of the active ingredient.
2. The proportion of a key ingredient, usually by weight expressed as a percentage of the whole, is determinitive of whether it does what its supposed to. This does not that a little less may mean its a little less effective. It means that it will not do anything at all. On the opposite end of the spectrum adding more of an active ingredient than the substantiation test results demonstrate as most effective often reduces or eliminates the results. Unless it constitutes a manufacturer’s trade secret we tell you the percentages of these important ingredients which always correspond to the maximum suggested effective and safe proportions borne out through testing and manufacturer’s recommendations. If a product doesn’t reveal the percentage of an expensive active it probably means less not more. Again this is true regardless of its pricetag. Conversely products proclaiming an excessive concentration is appealing to the “more must mean better” thought process. At best they offer no additional benefit. At worst they can be irrevocably harmful.
3. Many actives, particularly the various short peptides compete with each other to reach their dermal destination. Products that list multiple peptides is often a reflection of another tentacle of the “more must be better” mindset. Likewise it may block a consumers skincare goals. Picture a pack of hungry dogs racing towards a single small dish of food. None will have an effective meal. Its often best to apply the ingredients seperately, by a few hours or a few weeks, than to apply them all at once. This is our general approach in many of our products. There are certain peptides that do compliment each other and this has been revealed through substantial study. For example Matrixyl 3000 contains two peptides that have this symbiotic 1 + 1 = 3 relationship when they are combined at the correct 8% proportion in the final product.

Microdermabrasion Secrets-safe Wrinkle Skin Care for Anti-aging
Microdermabrasion and Micropeel™ are two of the most common anti-aging skin care methods in use today. However there are a vast number of microdermabrasion machines available and only a very few produce an effective peel and a visible result. More importantly the machines used in a doctor’s office are allowed to be stronger and more effective than machines sold to a spa or salon. Technicians who do microdermabrasion and Micropeel™ vary greatly in their skill and understanding of these techniques. Medical Aestheticians working in a physician’s office are specially trained and experienced. The fact that they work under the supervision of a doctor allows more effective treatments to be done. Your result is very dependent on how your peel is done and how good the medical aesthetician and her machine are. Below I will discuss how Microdermabrasion and Micropeel™ work, what they can achieve for you, the best machines, and how you can tell if you receive a good treatment.
How Microdermabrasion Works
Microdermabrasion is a deep exfoliation technique that removes dead and damaged skin cells from your face, neck and décolletage skin. After the treatment new fresh skin cells are revealed and the skin looks and feels smoother. Superficial skin pigment or brown spots will be lightened. Studies have shown that after repeated treatments fine wrinkles are improved, new collagen forms in the deeper skin layer called the dermis, and sun spots are gone or significantly lightened. There are significant facial rejuvenation and anti-aging skin care benefits:
Benefits
· Deep Exfoliation
· Removal of Sun Damage
· New Collagen Growth in Dermis
· Fine Wrinkle Removal
· Better Penetration of Retin A and Other Topical Agents
Technique
The technique uses a small glass tube with a hole on the side. A constant suction is passed through the tube by the machine and small sand like silica particles are passed through the glass tube by the machine.
As the tube is passed over your skin, the suction pulls your skin up into the stream of rushing silica particles and the passing particles abrade or remove dead skin cells that are dry, damaged and pigmented. This is exfoliation.
The Best Microdermabrasion Machines Are In a Doctor’s Office
Companies that make these machines are only allowed to sell de-powered units to salons and spas. These weaker machines just are not effective. If you want to see effective results you need to have your treatment by an experienced medical aesthetician in a doctor’s office.
We use the Megapeel™ machine. Dermagenesis™ is another good brand. Many machines just do not have enough power to provide adequate suction to abrade the skin.
There have been many new chemical machines which do not use the silica particles, but my patients prefer the standard original method using suction and silica particles.
How To Tell A If You’ve Had A Good Treatment
· Your skin will be pink or red
· Your skin will feel smooth
· Your skin will be slightly irritated
· You may have some skin peeling after a day or so
Micropeel™
Micropeel™ is a combination of dermaplaning (scraping dead and damaged skin cells off of the surface of your face with a scalpel) followed by the application of a dilute AHA (glycolic acid) solution to the skin. This is often called the “lunchtime peel” because the Micropeel™ can be done and you can usually return to work right after the peel. The Micropeel™ provides both mechanical (dermaplaning) and chemical skin peeling.
While this sounds more complex, the Micropeel™ is a gentler lighter peel. We use the Micropeel™ for:
· Dry Skin
· Sensitive Skin
· Patients with Rosacea
Salicylic Acid, which is stronger than dilute glycolic acid, can be used for an even deeper peel. When Salicylic Acid is used the technique is called Micropeel Plus™.
How Long Does A Treatment Take?
These treatments take about 30 minutes.
What Do These Treatments Cost?
Effective treatments with better machines and proper technique are done in a doctor’s office by an experienced medical aesthetician. They will be more expensive than those done in a salon or spa.
In Boston where I practice the following are typical costs:
Micropeel™-$70.00
Microdermabrasion-$125.00
Where Should I Have My Treatments Done?
The benefits of having these treatments by a medical aesthetician in a doctor’s office are:
· Medical Supervision
· Stronger, More Effective Treatments
· Access to Prescription Topical Medications
